FAQs
How often should my yard be cleaned?
For yards that are a quarter acre or smaller, weekly cleanup is recommended for households with two or more dogs. If you have one dog, biweekly service may be enough, depending on your dog’s habits and your preferences.
Do I need to be home during service?
No. You do not need to be home during your scheduled service. We do not need access to your home; we only need access to your yard. If you have a locked gate, please make sure it is unlocked on your scheduled service day.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We work in most weather conditions, including rain, but safety comes first. Service may be delayed or rescheduled during thunderstorms with lightning, heavy snow, ice, or other unsafe weather conditions. We will communicate with you if weather affects your scheduled service.
What do you do with the waste?
We securely double-bag the waste and place it in your outdoor trash bin for regular pickup. Pooper Scooper King does not haul waste away from the property.
How will I know you were there?
We will send you a notification when we arrive at your property. After your cleanup is complete, we will send you a photo of your secured gate so you know the service has been completed and your yard has been left secure. We also leave a little treat behind for your pups!
Can my dog stay outside during service?
For the safety of your pets and our team, all dogs must remain inside during service. This helps prevent accidental escapes and keeps everyone safe. If a dog is outside when we arrive, we will contact you and allow time for the dog to be brought inside.
What happens if my card is declined?
If your card on file is declined, we will contact you and ask that your payment method be updated and the outstanding balance be paid. Future service will be postponed until the outstanding balance has been paid. Once the account is brought current, service will resume on the next available scheduled service date.
POLICIES
Payment Policy
All new clients are set up with a secure customer portal through our billing system. Once your account is created, you will receive a link to activate your portal and add your payment method.
A valid credit or debit card is required to remain on file for recurring service. Recurring clients are placed on monthly billing, with invoices generated on the first of each month and automatically processed using the card on file.
If a payment is declined, we will contact you so your payment method can be updated and the outstanding balance paid. Future service will be postponed until the outstanding balance has been paid. Once the account is brought current, service will resume on the next available scheduled service date.
Yard Conditions & Lawn Maintenance Policy
We do our best to remove all visible and accessible dog waste during every service. However, overgrown grass, tall weeds, fallen leaves, and other vegetation can make dog waste extremely difficult to see and locate.
For the most thorough cleanup, we ask that yards be regularly mowed and reasonably maintained. During the fall, yards with a heavy accumulation of leaves can conceal dog waste. While we will pick up everything we can see and access, Pooper Scooper King cannot guarantee complete removal of waste that is hidden beneath leaves, tall grass, weeds, or other vegetation.
Once leaves or other vegetation are cleared, previously hidden waste can be removed during a future scheduled service.
Weather Policy
We provide service in most weather conditions, including rain, but the safety of our technicians comes first.
Service may be delayed or rescheduled during thunderstorms with lightning, ice storms, heavy snowfall, or other unsafe conditions.
During snow events, freshly fallen or accumulated snow may cover dog waste and make it impossible to locate. We will remove all waste that is visible and accessible; however, we cannot guarantee complete removal of waste that is covered by snow. Hidden waste can be removed during a future visit once conditions allow.
If weather affects your scheduled service, we will communicate any changes as soon as possible.
Gate Access & Dog Safety Policy
For the safety of your pets and our team, all dogs must remain inside during service. Customers are also responsible for ensuring that gates are unlocked and accessible on their scheduled service day.
If we arrive and cannot access the yard because a gate is locked, or if a dog is outside, we will call or text and wait up to 15 minutes for the situation to be resolved.
If we do not receive a response or safe access within that time, we will need to move on to our next scheduled client. Because our routes are scheduled in specific areas on specific days, we cannot guarantee a return visit for a missed service due to an inaccessible yard or a dog being outside.
Cancellation & Service Pause Policy
We understand that plans change. If you need to skip a scheduled visit or temporarily pause service, we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice whenever possible.
If you wish to cancel recurring service entirely, we ask for seven days’ notice so we can adjust your schedule and billing.
If something unexpected happens, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to work with you.
Satisfaction Guarantee
Your satisfaction is important to us. We take pride in providing thorough, dependable service and do our best to remove all visible and accessible dog waste during every visit.
If you have a concern about your cleanup, please contact us within 24 hours of your service and, when possible, include a photo of the area in question. We will review your concern and work with you to make it right.
